We aim to help you with your spiritual growth through prayer meetings, Bible studies, and worship gatherings. Join our growing Christian community today and find yourself in Jesus Christ.
July 17, 1917 marked a historic day for a small group of Christ’s disciples that will never be forgotten. These disciples held their first worship service at 555 Woodland, Toledo, Ohio. As a result, the congregation known as St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church was organized by the late Rev. W. Taylor and Rev. W. L. Barr. Eager to improve, they chose a building at 358 Wabash Street and in 1918 under the leadership of late Rev W. L. Barr, St. Paul was admitted to the Ohio Annual Conference. The work progressed for God’s Kingdom as St. Paul became a light for the community. The Church focused on developing better citizens in the community and winning souls for Christ. Since Toledo was geographically located closer to Detroit, Michigan than to the major cities in the Ohio Conference, our Bishop in 1918 placed St. Paul in the Michigan Annual Conference where we have remained to the present time. Since the establishment of our church, we have been helping Christ’s followers quench their thirst for the Word of the Lord. To learn more about us, read our church history.
